ACBO to Host Annual Conference at ODMAFair25 Friday 27th – Saturday 28th June 2025

The Optical Distributors & Manufacturers Association (ODMA) is excited to announce that the Australasian College of Behavioural Optometrists (ACBO) will be hosting their annual conference in conjunction with ODMAFair25, Australia’s largest optical trade fair. ACBO Connect 2025 will take place on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th June 2025 at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Sydney.

This partnership brings two of the most significant events in the optical industry together, offering an unmatched opportunity for optometrists, vision therapists, and industry professionals to enhance their learning, network with peers, and discover the latest innovations in the eye care sector.

Amanda Trotman, CEO of ODMA, expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration: "I am thrilled that ACBO have come on board to work with ODMA to enable their delegates to attend and benefit from ODMAFair25. An absolute win-win for all stakeholders. Visitors get even more value for their time investment as they will be able to visit the trade fair during lunch breaks and after the completion of their program."

ACBO Connect 2025 will offer two full days of advanced professional development focused on neuro-developmental concepts in behavioural vision care and vision therapy. Delegates will also have access to the ODMAFair25 exhibition, where the latest technologies, products, and services in optical care will be on display. Importantly, ACBO Connect 2025 delegates will be able to earn Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours, which are valid in both Australia and New Zealand, enhancing the value of their participation in this prestigious event.

Anne-Marie McNally, CEO of ACBO, noted the benefits of co-locating the conference with ODMAFair25: "We are thrilled to be co-locating our annual conference with ODMAFair25, giving our members access to their two 'must-not-miss' events under the one roof." She added, "ACBO Connect 2025 will provide 2 full days of learning and sharing knowledge and experiences with other passionate Behavioural Optometrists and Vision Therapists. Add to that the access to explore the latest innovations in optical products and services at ODMAFair, and our delegates have a unique opportunity to further develop their practise to care for their patients."

In addition to the ACBO conference, ODMAFair25 will feature collaborations with major industry bodies, including a confirmed partnership with Optometry Australia NSW/ACT and Optometry Development Australia (ODA). Various optical buying groups will also be involved in delivering presentations, making this event a comprehensive platform for education, networking, and practice development.

With these collaborations and the co-location of ACBO Connect 2025, ODMAFair25 is shaping up to be a monumental event for the optical industry. It promises to deliver a vast range of educational opportunities and networking potential for optometrists and practices across Australia and New Zealand.
